If Cybill was on her way to Silent Hill after all communication was cut why didn't she inform Harry en route about what had happened as something might have happened?

SH4 is my personal favorite. For me, it's the most interesting and fun to play (aside from the ghosts, lol). The soundtrack is also fantastic.

Nothing has changed, unfortunately. Gamers, what games are exactly the same or the trun their backs in it. It's definitely a killer of most franchises from people getting bored to people hating change.

Round of applause for Hillside! This is my favorite silent hill. Because it made me scared of the one place that should be safe for any person: their home. That and thanks to the twins enemy I learned I have a fear of things just pointing at me from a distance, apparently.

I’ve never really understood the hate for this game, I’ve always found the story pretty intriguing and liked Walter Sullivan as a bad guy. Granted I was way too young when these games came out to play them so I never experienced the lead up to release and comparing them to the first three games. So I guess it might be looked at differently by someone who was a hard core fan when they were coming out lol. But I think it’s better than most horror games coming out today lol except maybe Alan Wake 2

I was very young when I first played Silent Hill 4 on my PS2. I still remember how much Cythia's death affected me. I had tears in my eyes. 😢

Hear me out right, I have a bizarre perspective on Silent Hill 1, I don't believe it to be true but it's an interesting way to look at the game. Kauffman is constantly drugging Harry with White Claudia (PTV) and these highs are what cause the world for Harry to go hellish, which is also why he constantly wakes back up with a headache in the location he was last seen with Kauffman. -Harry crashes his jeep, while unconscious, Kauffman takes him to the cafe and drugs him. Harry believes he only just woke up from the crash and goes down the alley that turns into hell, eventually waking up in the cafe. -Harry goes to the basement of the school to turn the power on, the button doesn't turn the power on, it activates an airborne variant of PTV, knocking Harry out. As Harry explores the other-school, he eventually wakes back up in the basement of the normal school, where he pushed a button. This time there is a key there, as if Kauffman was there and left it or dropped it by accident. -Harry bumps into Kauffman in the hospital, the gunshot wasn't a bullet, but another dose of PTV, Harry starts to lose it mid conversation until Kauffman just kinda leaves abruptly as Harry would have fallen unconscious again as his mind falls into the other-hospital. He sees Lisa in the hell hospital as Lisa has been constantly drugged/sedated to keep her from telling the authorities what Kauffman and Dahlia have been up to, also explains why she can't leave the hospital as she's probably being held captive and this is all a massive drug trip. Harry eventually wakes up from his dose in the same room he last saw Kauffman and with a headache to see Dahlia in the normal hospital. -Harry enters the other-church in the antique store and as he is about to leave, the shrine starts burning, burning PTV and causing another drug trip for Harry, he enters the other-world once again, making his way through the town centre, streets and then back to the hospital to see Lisa once more, again in the other-world. Only after defeating floatstinger does he awaken from his drug trip, on the top of a roof, no idea how he got there. -Harry again in the Good/Good+ ending bumps into Kauffman in the resort area, worried that Harry is going to mess up his plans, Kauffman gives him a larger dose in the garage with the motorcycle, enough to pretty much knock him out. In Harry's mind, he is going to the lighthouse/resort/no-where, explaining no-where being a confusing mess as this dosage was a lot more than before. But he never left the resort area and that's where Cybil will find him at the end of the game and explains him running across a bridge after the final boss. Also explains the UFO ending, he was just high as fuck. To wrap it all up with one last theory to this, Harry has been under the influence of PTV since the day he found Cheryl on the side of the road, so when he awakens after the final boss of Good+ ending, that isn't 'Heather' or a new child, that's Cheryl and it was all in his head. Alternatively, Bad ending he got drugged so much, he never left his Jeep.

I've always been so intrigued by Vincent, and specially by that line. If you don't know the SH extended universe, you might miss out on some of the creepyness of that moment.

dude you can cut any circle into 8 slices, even if the circle was half an inch in diameter I'd use a logarithmic approach in the spacing of his purlicue, the distance from his thumb and forefinger. If we assume his thumb is on the tip of the slice, his index is at the back of the crust. The length of the purlicue would indicate a 12 inch pizza cut evenly, and he's holding around 5 inches in that slice. I'll be publishing my thesis on the calculations later, hopefully we can engage in an ethical size discussion since our results differ so much. I've used a standard method of figuring spacing of individual finger digits, making up for positioning of the hand and figuring for a bite of just over an inch already being removed between the finger and thumb extension. I've been wrong about this sort of thing before though. (showing my maths : Slice length = Radius / √2 ≈ 6 inches / √2 ≈ 6 inches / 1.414 ≈ 4.24 inches)

Are the names of the orphanage different in the Japanese versions of 3 and 4? “Wish” and “Hope” are honestly close enough synonyms I could easily see just having different localizers translate the same Japanese word differently.

No, I think the most creepy monster was the one in Brookhaven hospital that hung from the roof in a cage
